Background, and History
Background
The foundation was established in response to the increasing number of orphaned and vulnerable children in local communities, many of whom lacked basic needs such as food, shelter, and education. Driven by compassion and faith, a group of community volunteers, educators, and faith leaders came together to form an organization that could provide sustainable, Christ-centered solutions.
Recognizing that children cannot grow in isolation, DKAF integrates family and community strengthening into its approach—ensuring that interventions are both preventive and transformative.
Divine Kids Africa Foundation began as a small community outreach initiative providing food and school support for orphans and vulnerable children. Over time, the program expanded to include Skills and talent development, health outreach, spiritual mentoring, and elderly care programs.
In 2023 the initiative was formally registered as a non-profit company limited by guarantee to enhance accountability, structure, and donor engagement.
Since then, DKAF has built partnerships with local schools, churches, health centers, and social service providers to reach more children and families. Our model blends faith-based compassion with community-driven development, emphasizing empowerment over dependency.
